Profile of Lydia Cubero Aranda
Occupational therapist, although I consider myself a holistic therapist. Since 2010 I have helped dozens of people with acquired brain injury to become more independent and happier. Thanks to my project Terapia Sin Limites, I stay closely connected with patients even across thousands of kilometers.
Facing the economic crisis of 2010, I emigrated to England. There I spent three and a half years doing internships in hospitals and treating patients at home. Right after I had the opportunity to combine my two great passions: helping people and being with animals. I began offering therapy with horses to patients with neurological injury at an equestrian center. It was then that I knew I would specialize in neurorehabilitation.
I qualified as a Bobath therapist and an expert in the upper limb before moving to a neurological rehabilitation clinic.
Traveling, learning and helping are essential in my life; therefore I went as a volunteer occupational therapist to Nepal working with children with disabilities in 2015.
After the lockdown, I decided to take the entrepreneurial path and developed my project Terapia Sin Limites, with which I help Spanish-speaking people who have suffered an acquired brain injury (ABI) and their relatives to progress in an integrated way, both in person and online
And very soon to accompany social and healthcare professionals so they can continue enriching themselves within neurorehabilitation and become aware of another career path such as entrepreneurship.
