Today we are launching a new worksheet to work on emotional intelligence with children: Which photo best fits the word? We also included an improvement in the activity Copy the Letters thanks to a client’s suggestion.
If some time ago we presented the worksheet What are they feeling? today it’s the turn of the exercise ¿Which photo goes with each word? In this case emotions are worked on in a slightly more complex way, since the expressions shown are not accompanied by any context.
What does it involve?
Children have to identify the characteristic features of each mood and identify the characters’ emotional state, always relating each emotion to its correct word.
It seems easy, but you must take into account the multiple and subtle nuances that can separate one emotion from another and which can make a significant difference in the reaction they elicit in other people.
Below we show you an example:
What does this activity work on?
- Social cognition,
- vocabulary.
Difficulty levels
Which photo best fits the word? is a worksheet and, like all NeuronUP worksheets, is organized into five levels of difficulty:
- Basic,
- easy,

- advanced.
Format
Additionally, this activity to work on emotional intelligence with children can be done both in format digital and in paper.

Improvement in the activity Copy the Letters
Also, thanks to the suggestion of Angy Karolina Fierro, from Centro Psicoterapéutico Entrenarte, we have included a variable that allows customizing which type of letters should be copied (vowels, consonants or the entire alphabet). In this way, you can create an exercise even more adapted to the needs of each child.
