Shall we review the latest NeuronUP updates?
A few days ago, we told you that from now on, you’ll be able to enjoy new updates on our platform related to:
- A new development technology,
- a new interface,
- new features,
- accessibility improvements,
- and usability improvements.
In this post, we explain in detail each one of them so you can fully understand how they will impact your daily work with NeuronUP.
New development technology
We are in full transformation at NeuronUP!
More powerful and efficient engine
The main update we recently implemented is a new development technology that provides us with a more powerful and efficient engine to make our activities more precise and more responsive. As a result, professionals can improve the user experience and more easily calculate results.
Improved visual quality
Consequently, we have also enhanced the resolution of images in each activity, significantly improving their visual quality. From now on, you’ll notice a substantial improvement in the visual elements of our activities!
Activity adaptation to any screen
If you work or plan to work with your patients on a tablet or other device, your experience will now be optimized.
We have adapted our activities to avoid displaying empty images or spaces, making use of the entire screen of the device.
In any case, remember that at NeuronUP, we recommend using devices no smaller than 9 inches and using Chrome for the best experience.
Reduced activity load time
Time is precious, and we want you to make the most of it with your users. That’s why we’ve reduced activity load times by optimizing their performance, even on slow network connections!
More accurate data
Finally, we are now able to collect more precise data to resolve potential issues you may encounter more efficiently.
New interface
Regarding our new interface, you will now be able to navigate our platform in a much more intuitive way thanks to its new design.
More intuitive presentation
We’ve reduced distractions on each screen so you can focus on what’s most important: your users.
Simpler menu
We’ve also redesigned the menus of activities to present information in a more organized and simple way, ensuring all details follow the same standard.
Better transitions between activities
We’ve reduced waiting times between activities and introduced new transitions, including countdowns in memory activities.
Much smoother navigation
Our navigation is now much smoother, providing feedback when level changes occur during activities.
New custom cursors
Lastly, we’ve changed the cursors, and now they are custom!
This ensures users have a fully immersive experience and can focus better on the activities.
New functionalities
And what about the new features?
Whiteboard mode
After many requests, NeuronUP now offers a whiteboard mode so you can provide your users with more detailed and visual explanations for each activity.

Live solutions
Now, in some of our games, you can access the solution while the activity is running.
It is important to highlight that this solution will only be visible from the professional’s profile.
Content randomization
At NeuronUP, we want users to avoid memorizing the activities, so they can work on the areas of interest. Therefore, another new option now available is the ability to change the order of the options on the worksheets.
Focus shadow
When your users finish an exercise, the main screen will darken to move to the next level. You can disable this option at any time if you prefer.
Accessibility improvements
We are committed to improving the experience for both professionals and users, which is why we have also incorporated some accessibility updates.
Text and video instructions
We have simplified the text, and it now features much clearer wording to enhance reading comprehension. Additionally, we have developed visual instructions to reinforce the presentation of each activity.
Activity typography
We have updated the typography in all of our exercises to one that is much simpler, so users can better understand them.
Sounds and audios
On the other hand, we have also improved our audios to provide more natural sounds and make them consistent across all devices. This helps to reduce distractions for more sensitive users.
Text and image contrast
Additionally, we have ensured that the text does not blend in with the activity images, allowing users to enhance their experience and achieve a better understanding of the activities.
Usability improvements

Screen Controls
You will now find controls on the screen to streamline the execution of some of our activities.
Example of updates in the Sorting Bugs Activity
Next, we show you a visual example of all these updates using the Sorting Bugs activity as a reference.
When we click on this activity, we find the following:
As you can see at first glance, the interface has visually changed, allowing us to differentiate between different data:
- Areas of intervention the activity works on,
- brief description and classification of the game,
- adjustable parameters,
- levels.
If you click on the play button, you will be taken directly to the activity.
Otherwise, you can move to another screen where you’ll find a level preview, phase parameters, and a visual explanation of the activity. This way, you’ll know the items for each level before starting the activity.
Before starting the activity, you will see the following screen:
On this screen, there is an auditory explanation and access to a video with instructions.

Changes in game leveling
We’ve improved our activity leveling in two different ways:
- We re-leveled the variables of the activities to achieve a much more gradual increase in difficulty, better suited to your users.
- We added more levels; depending on the activity, these levels have been added to the easy, medium, or difficult phases.
In which activities can we check these changes?
- Fast numbers: In the classic version, the user had to search for different numbers based on the difficulty level. In the new activity, they only need to search for one number in all levels. The difficulty will now be determined by the number of distractors.
- Home Delivery: In the classic version, this game always involved five buildings. In the updated activity, the number of buildings has been reduced in the first levels, achieving a more scalable difficulty.
