Call for caution in the face of the 2016 Summer Special Traffic Operation in Spain. The first phase of the 2016 Summer Special Traffic Operation begins today in Spain. In this Departure Operation, the DGT expects between July 1 and 3 4 million journeys and at NeuronUP we want to make a special call for caution on the road so you can enjoy your holiday destination.
Every year dozens of people die in traffic accidents, but they are not the only victims. The asphalt also leaves many serious victims; many suffer traumatic brain injuries that result in sequelae in the form of acquired brain injury, so it is vital to take extra precautions at this time of year.
Driving recommendations
- Sleep a minimum of 7 hours the previous day.

Objective of the seminar on driving after brain injury
Driving is one of the instrumental activities of daily living that we identify with our autonomy and freedom. The sequelae resulting from a brain injury can interfere with this ability, which implies a special responsibility for neurorehabilitation professionals.
At a social level we must collaborate with road safety by advising patients and families about the limitations derived from the sequelae; in our role as rehabilitation professionals we are committed to the recovery of the lost capacity.
