New episodic memory game for children!

We are back and refreshed after summer vacations and we are back to the routine of releasing a new activity every 15 days!

This week we present the new children’s game:  Who raised their hand?

As we show you in the following video, this activity consists of remembering the order in which the children have raised their hands and reproducing it.

What does this activity work?

This game works episodic (short-term) memory and working memory.

In addition, this activity is very useful to work on attention, since many times we think that we don’t have a good memory and what has really failed us is the attentional process in front of the stimuli we have to memorize. If you do not pay attention to something properly, how do you expect to remember it later?

Activity adapted for children

Following your requests, we continue adapting adult content to children! This game is an adaptation of the adult activity Press Conference.

We have adapted the design so that children can feel identified in their daily life. They have to be attentive to which classmates raise their hands to ask for a turn to speak and then replicate it. After seeing the success of the adult version, we are sure that children will love it too.

Four other kids’ games to work episodic memory

1. Orchestra Director

This is a children’s activity that consists of identifying the instruments heard and replaying them in order.

What does this activity do?

It works episodic memory and auditory gnosias.

2. Mole invasion

Another episodic memory game for children is Mole Invasion, where the child has to first remember in which order the moles come out of the holes and then reproduce it, but in reverse order.

What does this activity work?

This activity, in addition to episodic memory, is useful for working on hemineglect.

3. Find the Fish

Find the Fish is a NeuronUP children’s game that consists of remembering precisely where the fish appear. In addition, NeuronUP allows the therapist to choose for each child the memorization time, the number of errors, the number and size of the fish or even whether or not to have grid lines for reference.

4. Animal Pairs

This game consists of discovering the pairs among cards placed face down.

The professional can adjust the game to suit the abilities of each child. On the one hand, you can adjust the number of exercises, the maximum time, whether or not you want a timer, inactivity warning or modify the instructions, etc.

And on the other hand, you can select the number of cards, the memorization time, the similarity between the elements, the movement of elements and whether the cards have numbering on the back.

What does this game work?

It is a game designed to stimulate episodic memory, selective attention and working memory.
